SEO Effect is committed to protecting the privacy of your personal information. This privacy statement applies to the network of SEO Effect Web sites and services that display the SEO Effect logo or trademark, or are located in the SEO Effect.com domain. It does not apply to other online or offline Screenborn sites, products or services. By using SEO Effect, you consent to the data practices described in this statement.

Collection of your Personal Information

SEO Effect explicitly asks when it needs information that personally identifies you ("personal information"). We will collect such information when, for example, you request information about SEO Effect services, you enter a sweepstakes or respond to a survey on a SEO Effect site, or you subscribe to a SEO Effect service.. personal information we collect can include your e-mail address, name, address, telephone number, and credit card number, as applicable. SEO Effect also may ask for demographic information. SEO Effect also collects certain information about your computer hardware and software. This information is used by SEO Effect for the operation of its sites and services, to maintain quality of the services, and to provide general statistics regarding use of SEO Effect sites and services.

Use of your Personal Information

SEO Effect and our Screenborn affiliates and service partners use your personal information to operate the SEO Effect sites and to provide the SEO Effect services you have requested. The information is also used to communicate with you regarding your SEO Effect accounts by sending out periodic communications that are considered as essential to the operation of the service. We use your e-mail address to respond to incoming service and support requests from you, to collect customer feedback, customer satisfaction surveys, sweepstakes notices, and other service informational mailings. We ask for your postal address because some of our services require a mailing address so that we can completely perform the service. For example, we need your postal address for our Screenborn service so that we can mail you checks for the money you earn from affiliate programs. We may also use this information for credit card validation. SEO Effect may disclose your personal information if required to do so by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on Screenborn, SEO Effect or the site; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of Screenborn; SEO Effect, the site or the users of SEO Effect; or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of Screenborn employees, users of Screenborn products or services, or members of the public. Personal information collected by SEO Effect may be stored and processed in the The Netherlands or any other country in which Screenborn or its affiliates, subsidiaries or agents maintain facilities, and by using this site, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country. Screenborn abides by the safe harbor framework as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce regarding the collection, use, and retention of data from the European Union.

Sharing your Personal Information with Other Companies

Except as otherwise described in this statement, SEO Effect will share your personal information with other companies only with your consent. For example, when subscribing to a service which involves a third party to facilitate the service, your personal information will be shared. Screenborn, for example, provides your contact information to affiliate program owners only with your consent so they can respond to specific customer requests to join their affiliate networks. Without this relationship, SEO Effect could not provide its service to you. We occasionally hire other companies to provide limited services on our behalf, such as packaging and delivering purchases and other mailings, providing customer service, performing statistical analysis of our services, or providing other essential elements of the site. We will only provide those companies the personal information they need to deliver the product or service. Control of your Personal Information

As part of your participation in any of the SEO Effect services, SEO Effect allows you to elect to receive certain information and e-mail from SEO Effect and its service partners. There are two types of information sent to SEO Effect, customers:
1) account specific information; and,
2) promotional and customer feedback information.
Account specific communications include information that is essential for the SEO Effect services to operate properly. This includes the initial welcome mail describing features and guides to a particular service. It also includes any communications describing any changes or updates to a particular service or billing schedule. Because account specific communications are essential to providing the customer with the most current information on SEO Effect services these types of communications will be sent to all SEO Effect customers when appropriate. These types of communications are considered an essential part of the service for which you have signed-up and you will not be able to unsubscribe from such mailings. Promotional and customer feedback information includes information about products and services from Screenborn or our partners, special promotional offers, sweepstakes, contests, and/or customer surveys. You have the ability to opt-in or opt-out from receiving this type of information. You also have the ability to change your contact preferences at any time, either by changing your contact preferences on the SEO Effect site, as described in the next section, or by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in each mailing. To make it easy and convenient for you to login to our services, the SEO Effect site requires you to enable cookies to utilize our services.
