Pay for inclusion: how it works

As of March 2004, the pay for inclusion market has dramatically changed. Yahoo is no longer using Google results in their rankings because they bought the Inktomi database. Yahoo also owns Overture / Yahoo Search marketing. Overture / Yahoo Search marketing has a new pay for inclusion program called Site Match. All these pay for inclusion programs claim that your site will be added to their database within 48 to 72 hours after signing up. You only pay for inclusion, not for a Ranking. So, you need to Optimize your site anyway to avoid buying an inclusion and ending up on page 400, which would be a waste of your investment.

When should you use pay for inclusion?

  1. When you want your web pages indexed fast because you don't want to wait until the spiders Index your site.
  2. When your web pages cannot be reached by the spiders due to database driven tags in the URL.
  3. When you have pages like news pages or product updates that need to be indexed every 48 hours.

In earlier years, it was possible to get included in worldwide search engines like MSN Search via Inktomi, in Altavista, and in Ask Jeeves. Due to recent changes Yahoo made, you only have to turn to Site Match Submission to be included in Yahoo, MSN, Altavista, and Ask Jeeves.

If you want your site also included in Yahoo search, Yahoo directories, Ask Jeeves, Webwombat, Scrub the Web, and many more, use our Priority Submission. With one account, you can include many urls in many search engines at once.
Google does not have a pay for inclusion program. Instead, use Google AdWords, which is a pay for placement program.
